Evaluate quality of nursing care from the viewpoint of elderly patients under hemodialysis in selected Medical Education Centers of Iran University of Medical Sciences, 2018.

 Background : The Patient's health and improvement depends on the quality of nursing care. The purpose of this study was to determine and evaluate the quality of nursing care from the perspective of the elderly undergoing hemodialysis in educational-therapeutic centers affiliated to Iran University of Medical Sciences that done in 2018.
 Methods: this cross-sectional descriptive study, conducted on 170 elderly people who were undergoing hemodialysis in educational centers affiliated to Iran University of Medical Sciences. Sampling method was questionnaire completion by interview. Data collection tools was included demographic information form, AMT questionnaire, and nursing care quality questionnaire (QUALPAC). For data analysis, Descriptive and inferential statistics including Pearson correlation coefficient, independent t-test were used for data analysis. p≤0.05
 Results: In this study, the disease duration was 78.8% of the elderly over one year. More than half of the elderly (67.6%) reported having a serious illness. The highest prevalence of serious comorbidities in the elderly under hemodialysis in this study was related to hypertension with 60% frequency. The The quality of nursing care from the perspective of the elderly was 61/2 in the psychosocial dimension and was 80% in the communication dimension which is desirable and quality of nursing care was 91/8% in physical dimension which is somewhat desirable. Generally the quality of nursing care was 64/1% of the elderly which is somewhat desirable. 
Conclusion: Based on the findings of the present study, the quality of nursing care in hemodialysis elderly patients was somewhat favorable and far from optimal and standard status. Health and Nursing managers focus on improving the quality of nursing care to the optimal level in this group of vulnerable patients.
