Music and its effectiveness on mental health from the perspective of Islamic citizenship rights; Systematic study and meta-analysis

Introduction: Mental health has been discussed in Islamic religious texts; Both the Qur'an and the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and the Infallibles (AS) have paid due attention to this issue. In other words, the art of music has been effective in various aspects of human life and has been able to act as an effective factor for different societies as a joyful and stimulating tool for different societies. Therefore, the present study was conducted with the aim of meta-analysis of music and its effectiveness on mental health from the perspective of Islamic citizenship rights.
Methods: This study is a meta-analysis system that uses the keywords Music, mental health, Islamic citizenship rights, meta-analysis in SID, MAGIRAN, IRANDOC, CIVILICA and Google databases in Persian and English from October 2011 to In October 2017, a search was conducted and studies that reported the extent of music and its effectiveness on mental health from the perspective of Islamic citizenship rights were included in the meta-analysis. STATA software was used to analyze the data and the error criterion of the effectiveness of music therapy on mental health in each study was calculated based on the binomial distribution formula. Finally, the heterogeneity index was determined by Cochran (Q) test.
Results: First, 28 articles were obtained, which after entering the inclusion criteria, finally 13 articles were included in the study. The results showed that music therapy had a significant effect on mental health at an error level of less than 0.05 and the magnitude of the combined effect on mental health in terms of correlation scale was 0.574 in terms of The difference scale of standard means was 1.427 and in terms of GHz characteristic was 1.389.
Conclusion: The result of this meta-analysis shows that music therapy is based on the principles of Islamic citizenship law using techniques such as attention to the present and acceptance without judgment of emotions and optimal use of music to elevate and perfect the soul in improving health. The psyche is significantly effective with a high effect size.
