Resiliency family caregivers of people with mental disorders in Tehran

Introduction: Resiliency is back from a tough durable and enduring capacity and the ability to repair them. Despite exposure to extreme stress, leading to the success of the events and accidents. The purpose of this study was to determine the resiliency of family caregivers of patients with mental disorders.
Method: The present study is a descriptive-analytical study. In this study, a sample size 220 was calculated. Tools for collecting data in this study forms and questionnaires resiliency was Kannor and Davidson's profile. The obtained data were analyzed using the SPSS16 software, Spearman Correlation Statistical Tests, t-test and ANOVA tests.
Results: In this study Average resiliency caregivers with mental disorders are 16/38 and SD 69/93 the majority of the study, 51% had high resiliency. Between Resiliency caregivers and demographic characteristics (age, sex, socioeconomic status and education), there was no significant relationship.
Conclusion:The findings of this study can help nurses and other health care providers that use of model resiliency or similar models for health promotion, capacity building and sustainable recovery from the ongoing difficulties in the ability to repair themselves, Increase the social, economic and welfare and the promotion of tolerance for the care and education of family caregivers of patients with mental disorders.
