Conclusion: Based on the results of the study and the perceived meaning of self-care for people with type 1 diabetes, teaching self-care behaviors to people with diabetes is recommended. With this in mind, it is suggested to design and apply a clinical guide for self-care and to examine its effect on the management of physical and mental challenges of people with type 1 diabetes.
