Background : High blood pressure is a major risk that plays an important role in the global Burden of Disease. Small changes in blood pressure via diet modification could have significant effects on high blood pressure. Methods: This study is a descriptive-analytical epidemiological study that was conducted on 296 adults over 19 years old living in Birjand in 2021. In this study, for sampling, the city was divided into two geographical regions, north and south, and from each region, two comprehensive urban centers were selected. Among people who were referred to these centers, those had complete satisfaction and proper conditions to participate in this study entered the study.Also, they were measured about their height, weight, abdominal circumference, and hip circumference. Then body mass index, waist hip ratio, and waist to height ratio were calculated and recorded. Results: It can be seen from the results that there was a significant association between systolic blood pressure and daily tea consumption. Conclusion: Results of this study indicate that long-term consumption of black tea could lead to a decrease in blood pressure, especially systolic blood pressure
