Introduction:Unresolved pain in infants can lead to short-term and long-term injuries. Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate the combined effect of Yakson touch and maternal voice on reducing pain due to blood sampling in premature infants admitted to Ali Ibn Abitaleb Hospital in Rafsanjan. Methods: In this two-group clinical trial study, 60 preterm infants were selected using available sampling method and randomly divided into combination and control groups. For the intervention group, the mother received a combination of Jackson's sound and touch for 5 minutes. Data were collected using NIPS questionnaire before and after the intervention and analyzed using independent t-test, paired t-test and analysis of covariance. Results: In addition, the results of this study showed that the mean pain score both before (P <0.001) and after the intervention (P <0.001) was statistically significant between the two groups and Due to the significance of the score before the intervention, analysis of covariance was used.In analysis of covariance, both the effect of pain score before the intervention and the effect of the group (intervention) were significant (P <0.001). Conclusion: Based on the findings of the present study, Yakson touch method with maternal voice can reduce pain during sampling in premature infants admitted to the intensive care unitand since the method is easy and safe and does not require special equipment, it can be used as a non-pharmacological method to reduce pain in infants.
